The Buffalo Bills won an AFC road game this weekend! They also received some help on the out-of-town scoreboard, but it didn’t dramatically improve their standings as of today. It did, however, put them within striking distance of a few teams and opened the door for the rest of the AFC to make a play at the AFC West’s three playoff spots.

- - The Raiders and Texans play tonight on Monday Night Football
What it means
Buffalo moved up just one spot - from 11 to 10, passing the Titans - but did improve their record in the AFC. They control their own destiny against Miami in the AFC East tiebreakers. With the Chiefs and Broncos playing each other twice over the last six weeks, beginning this Sunday, the Bills could be within striking distance of a playoff spot one week from now if they can beat the Jaguars at home. It is not over by a long shot.
Tonight, root for the Texans to take down the Raiders. The more losses the AFC West has, the better.
