The Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars are at the bottom of the CBS food chain this weekend, drawing the lowest-ranked commentary team and the smallest piece of the TV viewing map. It’s not really a surprise given Jacksonville’s 2-8 record and both teams’ small viewing markets.
New York State actually has a bigger viewing audience this week than last, as Syracuse will show the Bills. Last week, FOX chose to show the New York Giants in that market instead of the Bills. Jacksonville’s home territory in Florida and Georgia is only showing the game, while the southern tip of Florida will see the AFC North match-up featuring the 3-6-1 Bengals. In fact, all of these games feature one team that is below .500, a less than ideal scenario for CBS.
Even though they are at the bottom of the CBS list this week, Bills fans will be glad to know that Steve Tasker will be on the call. Andrew Catalon called Bills preseason games with the Bills Wall of Famer this year. The pair is joined by former Jaguars QB Steve Beuerlein.
