Ronald Darby injury: Buffalo Bills cornerback out with a concussion

The second year corner walked to the locker room after taking a blow to the head

For those of us hoping for an injury-free day, our collective bubble burst fairly early. While trying to make a tackle in the first quarter, Buffalo Bills cornerback Ronald Darby was injured.

Darby was hit in the head when Jaguars running back Chris Ivory tried to hurdle Darby. He didn't quite make it over the second-year corner, and his knee contacted Darby’s head. He has been ruled out for the remainder of the game and is in the concussion protocol.

In his place, veteran Corey White shifted from his spot at safety, where he had been playing all game. White has performed admirably thus far in Darby’s stead, filling in when Darby was ill on Monday Night Football at the Seattle Seahawks three weeks ago. Jonathan Meeks slides in at safety with Robert Blanton on injured reserve. Duke Williams was released a couple weeks ago and now Marcus Roberson and Sergio Brown might see the field.
