Veteran Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams has remained relatively healthy this season after missing most of last year with a knee injury. Unfortunately, that healthy streak seems to have come to an end.
After missing Sunday’s loss to the Steelers, Rex Ryan fears that Kyle could miss his second straight game this coming Sunday against the Browns due to a back injury he suffered late last week.
Even considering the Bills’ struggles on the defensive side of the ball after allowing an historic performance by Pittsburgh’s LeVeon Bell on Sunday, the Bills shouldn’t require his services if he’s not physically capable of playing at full speed. The Browns do have a talented running back in Isaiah Crowell, who ran for 113 yards in Cleveland’s loss to the Bengals on Sunday, but their 0-13 record implies that he’s not quite good enough to carry the team.
If Kyle does miss the game, it’s likely that Leger Douzable will continue to pick up his playing time. Douzable started in Kyle’s place and played in 63% of the Bills’ defensive snaps on Sunday. Jerel Worthy also saw activity after being a frequent healthy scratch.
