The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets play this Sunday in a meaningless game as far as the standings go. Buffalo and New York are locked into third and fourth in the AFC East for next year’s scheduling and it won’t alter the playoff rankings at all. To make the game even more riveting, both teams will be starting backup quarterbacks.
Ryan Fitzpatrick will get the nod for the Jets. New York has gone through a slew of QBs this year after benching Fitz but he’s like a bad penny and keeps getting the call. Geno Smith hurt his knee, Bryce Petty hurt his shoulder, and Christian Hackenberg isn’t ready apparently.
For the Bills, Tyrod Taylor is being benched in a business decision and Cardale Jones isn’t ready yet so EJ Manuel will start what is likely to be the final game of his career with the Bills.
