The Bills took the practice field today as they begin preparing for the Steelers to come to town on Sunday.
And, believe it or not, Buffalo’s getting healthier.
Ronald Darby, who missed most of the Jaguars game with a concussion and was held out of Week 13’s contest against the Raiders, is out of the concussion protocol, per Rex Ryan via Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday.
Robert Woods, who’s missed the past two games with a knee injury and hasn’t practice since suffered that injury, also returned to practice in a limited capacity. Charles Clay was also limited.
The headliner, Sammy Watkins, did not practice today, although Rex said the following about Buffalo’s star receiver, “Sammy felt better physically after this game than the first game. How much better he's going to get? I'm not sure.”
Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com added this “Rex says Watkins not practicing on Wed is (part) of plan to have him ready every week for Sunday.”
Watkins was also held out of practice on Wednesday last week before he played 49 snaps against the Raiders this past Sunday.
Lerentee McCray (concussion) and Cordy Glenn (back) were the other non-participants on Wednesday.
