2016 NFL mock draft: Reggie Ragland to Buffalo Bills

The New York Jets, and general manager ismileback13, are on the clock!

With the nineteenth pick in the 2016 Buffalo Rumblings Community Mock, the Buffalo Bills, and general manager BillsMafia5, have selected Reggie Ragland, linebacker from Alabama. Here's what he had to say about the pick:

I really didn't want to pick the same player that Mr. Galliford and Mr. Lavoie picked in the SB Nation mock draft. I also really wanted Reggie Ragland. If Sheldon Rankins or Vernon Butler had fallen to 19, I would have considered them, but with the players available, the only other options I seriously considered were Noah Spence, Chris Jones, Andrew Billings, and Darron Lee. Spence was my plan B, but I gave Ragland the edge due to the scarcity of middle linebackers in this draft.

Reggie Ragland is a perfect fit in Rex's defense, and also fills a huge need in our team. He is not the fastest linebacker, but he does so many other things well that made it too hard to pass up at 19.
His 195 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and an interception are impressive stats and he's played both the MIKE and weak side linebacker for Alabama.
He also does not get the credit he deserves for his amazing instincts and his ability to play in intermediate and underneath zones.

For anyone wondering, QB was not even in consideration. I do not view Paxton Lynch much, if not any better than many of the 2-4 round QBs as Lynch is a developmental guy just like they are. Plug and play Impact LB's like Reggie Ragland aren't easy to find, and that is why he's the pick at #19.

The New York Jets are now on the clock. Remember, when it's your turn to submit a draft choice, email it to dan.r.lavoie+sbnation@gmail.com.
