2016 NFL mock draft: Josh Doctson to Cincinnati Bengals

The Washington Redskins, and general manager JV bills, are on the clock!

We've had another trade! The Cincinnati Bengals have traded their first, third, and sixth round picks to the New York Jets for their first and fourth round picks.

With the twentieth pick in the 2016 Buffalo Rumblings Community Mock, the Cincinnati Bengals, and general manager Dan Lavoie, have selected Josh Doctson, wide receiver from TCU. Here's what he had to say about the pick:

The Jets general manager called me up today in distress and disarray. He said "I've nowhere else to turn" and basically begged me to make a trade. I approached Mike Brown and said "I know it's the Jets, but let's listen to what he has to say."

Shuffling some lower picks to get a game-changer? Okay!

Josh Doctson is just what the Bengals are missing. Without Jones or Sanu, AJ Green needs a partner, and Doctson is the best match. He's an incredible athlete, has a big catch radius, and was a dominant receiver for TCU. Andy Dalton isn't a great quarterback, but he played great this year when he had plenty of receiving options available. Doctson fills the gap that was created in free agency.

I could've added to the defensive line here, and Robert Nkemdiche and Noah Spence both came into consideration. Ultimately, I decided that as long as Andy Dalton is signed to his contract, the Bengals will succeed if he can play well, and that means giving him another target to throw to. Trading ahead of the Texans and Redskins gives me a better chance of getting the receiver I wanted. Thanks for the offer, Hamilton ismileback13!
