2016 NFL Draft: news, rumors, and video 10 days out

In lieu of the usual group of written articles, this week's Mock Draft Monday features some excellent videos, GIFs, and podcasts about the draft!

It's Monday, and that means we have a roundup of 2016 NFL Draft notes, mock drafts, and general football links for you. Each week, we'll summarize some of the things worth knowing as draft news continues to stream in.

Last week at Buffalo Rumblings

Here's the last Mock Draft Monday, for those of you who missed it.

Our Community Mock Draft is going on right now! Are you following along?

Leonard Floyd stopped at One Bills Drive last week for a visit. He's not the only one. Connor Cook also finished a visit with the Bills last weekend.

We published more scouting reports: Cardale Jones, Paxton Lynch, and Dak Prescott.

We looked at the past performance of players selected at the Bills' spot in the draft. The No. 19 overall pick, pick Nos. 49 and 80, as well as the late-round pick positions. Shannon Sharpe 2.0 would be a nice addition!

If you wanted to hear me name a lot of names in this year's NFL Draft, you should watch this video I recorded last week.

Mock of the week

Dane Brugler of CBS Sports just posted an updated seven round mock following the bombshell trade between the Rams and the Titans. Here's who he has Buffalo drafting:

Round 2: Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio State
Round 3: Kyler Fackrell, LB, Utah State
Round 4: Kolby Listenbee, WR, TCU
Round 4: Fahn Cooper, OT, Mississippi
Round 5: Willie Henry, DT, Michigan
Round 6: Jonathan Jones, CB, Auburn
Round 6: Kai'mi Fairbairn, K, UCLA

Around the web

Two of the brightest minds in the draft community combined for a nice long-form video last week. If you like seeing people break down tape and you have an hour and a half to spare, you owe it to yourself to watch Matt Waldman and Justis Mosqueda discuss Montana edge rusher Tyrone Holmes.

Over at Inside the Pylon (a phenomenal site for learning about how the X's and O's of the game), we saw the Bills make a selection in a mock draft, with NFL.com writer Chris Trapasso as acting Bills GM, and Rob Quinn, Rich Fann, and Ryan Talbot as members of his coaching staff. There's an interesting 20-minute podcast where they debate about Buffalo's pick, and the ultimate result may surprise you.

Two of the best amateur offensive line scouts, Brandon Thorn and Duke Manyweather, recently published a pair of scouting reports for Jack Conklin and Ronnie Stanley. If you ever wanted to learn about offensive line technique, you need to watch the video clips within.

The latest edition of the top five throws from Playmaker Mentality features Trevone Boykin. He may never start in the NFL, but he made some gorgeous passes last year.
