The Buffalo Bills have reached a contract agreement with the 19th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, defensive end Shaq Lawson. The team announced the terms but the Associated Press had the details:
#Bills sign top pick DE Lawson to 4-year deal worth about $10.3 million (all guaranteed) with $5.675 million signing bonus, per source.

Lawson's deal comes on the heels of the much-discussed shoulder surgery that will keep him out well into the regular season. Regardless of his playing status, a contract was necessary and was not impacted by the injury. That said, his recovery from the shoulder surgery will be key to his long-term success as will his ability to adapt to Rex Ryan's defense.
Last season's 19th overall pick, center Cameron Erving, signed a $9.4 million deal with the Cleveland Browns. This season's 18th overall pick, center Ryan Kelly, signed for $10.45 million with the Indianapolis Colts, while 20th overall pick Darron Lee has yet to sign with the New York Jets. All first-round picks sign four-year contracts with a fifth-year team option.
Currently, the only Bills draft pick without a contract is fourth-round quarterback Cardale Jones.
