The Buffalo Bills have announced the signing of quarterback Cardale Jones. Jones was Buffalo's fourth-round selection in the NFL Draft and was the final draft pick to sign his contract with the team.
Jones is a lock to make the roster and will likely spend his entire first season as the third quarterback, barring injury. With two quarterbacks ahead of him entering the final year of their contracts, Jones currently has the longest deal of any signal-callers in the organization. Jones is a raw talent, whose scouting report can be truly read both optimistically and negatively.
The delay in his signing could possibly be related to personal matters, as he has been away for several days of OTAs attending to a personal matter that may or may not be a new baby.
Last year's 139th overall pick, Jacksonville's Rashad Greene, signed a four-year contract worth $2.5 million so you would expect Jones' number to be for slightly more than that dollar figure, even though he's a quarterback.
