Talks between Bills, Bush still ongoing, per report

Bush muling over signing with Bills

Free agent running back Reggie Bush hasn’t ruled out signing with the Buffalo Bills, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Florio reported Tuesday morning that talks between the Bills and Bush continue, citing that the Bills see the former Heisman Trophy winner as a possible punt returner and backup running back.

The Bills running back depth – once a strength – has become a question mark in recent weeks after Karlos Williams was suspended for four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy and rookie Jonathan Williams’ DWI arrest.

From the surface, it doesn’t look like Bush is a great fit for Buffalo. He’s a very similar player to starting back LeSean McCoy – someone who can make defenders miss and catch passes out of the backfield. One would think the Bills would want to bring in a change of pace back to spell McCoy.

It’s unclear when Bush will ultimately make his decision. The Bills hope it’s soon as the team opens training camp at St. John Fisher College on Saturday.
