Buffalo Bills will use Reggie Bush “like a Ferrari”

Rex Ryan shared his vision for Reggie Bush’s role.

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

The Buffalo Bills just added a shiny new car to their garage, and Rex Ryan is really excited to get behind the wheel and use Reggie Bush.

"First off, with Reggie Bush, he's such a talent but we want him to be almost like that Ferrari that we unleash and let people be like"Oh man, he's out there!" But I also don't want to run him into the ground," Ryan told NFL Network’s Ladanian Tomlinson.

In order to achieve the best results, the Bills are going to build in packages at running back for Bush but he won’t be asked to carry the load with LeSean McCoy handling the bulk of the duties and being spelled by youngsters Jonathan Williams and Karlos Williams (when he returns from his suspension). Bush will be there to provide a change of pace, to keep McCoy’s legs fresh, and confuse defenses when he motions all over the field but his touches will be limited to increase his effectiveness.

Buffalo signed Bush to an incentive-laden one-year deal earlier this week.
