Bills - Jets: Second half open thread

You’re still here? I’m impressed.

The final stretch of Bills football until August (if you count preseason) is upon us. If the second half is anything like the first half...well, you’ve earned your Bills fan card today.

The Jets lead the Bills 10-3, and could be up by even more if they kicked a field goal instead of going for it on fourth down on their second drive at the Bills’ 14 (they didn’t convert). The Bills have let Bilal Powell run pretty hard on them so far today, with 73 yards on 11 carries. He also caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is 12-of-17 for 143 yards. Nick Folk hit a 30-yard field goal as the half ended.

EJ Manuel, taking the reins as starter in what should be his final game with the Bills, is 7-of-14 for 57 yards. He had a lot of trouble hitting his receivers, most notably in the final two minutes when he missed a wide-open Charles Clay for an easy touchdown. He could very well give way to Cardale Jones at some point. LeSean McCoy was carted off with an ankle injury after recording 10 yards on five carries, and won’t play in the second half. Jonathan Williams leads the team with 20 yards on the ground, all of which came on one run. Dan Carpenter, in what may very well be his final game in Buffalo, kicked a 34-yard field goal.

We’ve reached the end of the season, folks. It’s almost over.
