Following Sunday’s loss to the New York Jets, the Bills finished their 2016 season with seven wins and nine losses. That record, combined with strength of schedule and other opponent records, has them picking in the top ten of the draft, thanks to the results of a few other games today.
The 7-9 Eagles won against the Cowboys, who were resting most of their starters. That pushed them past the Bills. The Carolina Panthers came close to a win against the Buccaneers, but a failed two point conversion in the closing seconds sent them to 6-10. That has Buffalo slotted eleventh overall:
- Cleveland (1-14)
- San Francisco (2-13)
- Chicago Bears (3-13)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (3-13)
- Tennessee Titans from LA Rams (4-11)
- New York Jets (5-11)
- San Diego Chargers (5-10)
- Carolina Panthers (6-10)
- Cincinnati Bengals (6-9-1)
- Arizona Cardinals (6-8-1)
- Buffalo Bills (7-9)
- Cleveland Browns from Philadelphia (7-9)
The Arizona Cardinals play later on Sunday. If they defeat the 4-11 Rams, they will move down in the draft order, bumping Buffalo up one more spot.
