The Patriots play today. Let’s go Texans!

The 2017 NFL playoffs continue today and we see the first glimpse of the AFC East champions. We take a look at the game times and television channels as well as some connections to the Buffalo Bills.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons

4:35 p.m. ET, FOX

The Bills lost to the Seahawks this year in a nationally-televised game that featured some really strange calls. Ultimately, it stands for another game that was so close for Buffalo but they just couldn’t get over the hump.

Buffalo interviewed Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard for the head coaching job that ultimately went to Sean McDermott. That’s as close of a connection as the Bills have to the Seahawks. Former Bills guard Andy Levitre plays for Atlanta. Bills fans will remember Bryan Cox, who is the Falcons defensive line coach.

Houston Texans vs. New England Patriots

8:15 p.m ET, CBS

The Bills played the Patriots twice in 2016, winning the match-up without Tom Brady and losing when the Hall of Famer returned. It seems Bills fans are doomed to continue watching him win playoff games forever.

Former Bills defensive line coach Anthony Weaver (2013) coaches the same position for the Texans. On the Patriots, former Bills receiver Chris Hogan is a favorite target of Brady’s and defensive lineman Alan Branch is a contributor. Buffalo native Rob Gronkowski is on injured reserve while his brother and former Bills fullback Glenn Gronkowski is on the practice squad.
