Buffalo Bills-Tampa Bay Buccaneers first half live game chat

A win would be a big step in the right direction for Buffalo

If you spent your Buffalo Bills bye week taking care of some of those pesky autumn chores, kudos to you. However, the Bills are back, and their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers probably takes precedence over raking some leaves.

For the Bills, a chance at 4-2 and an opportunity to bounce back from an awful showing against the Cincinnati Bengals in week 5 is at stake. With wide receiver Jordan Matthews expected to play today, one week earlier than anticipated after he broke his thumb in a Week four victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the offense gains a much-needed talent bump after a dismal showing in Cincinnati. Deonte Thompson, new to the Bills’ roster after his release from the Chicago Bears, figures to contribute today, as well.

As for the visiting Buccaneers, the mystery surrounding their starting quarterback situation was solved on Friday, as head coach dirk Koetter said that Jameis Winston will start despite suffering an injury to his throwing shoulder in week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals. For a minute there, it looked as if we’d see old friend Ryan Fitzpatrick starting under center. Alas, that scenario won’t occur unless Winston leaves this game, too.
