The Buffalo Bills come into today’s matchup against the Oakland Raiders in a strong position. Their 4-2 record puts them right in line with the division-leading New England Patriots. A victory today would further solidify their chances at a playoff berth, something we’ve all waited for since the turn of the century.
As an additional benefit, the Raiders enter today’s game at 3-4, so a loss to Buffalo would put a rather large dent in their playoff hopes. Buffalo already has one loss to a team that it currently leads in the standings, a disappointing 20-16 loss at the Cincinnati Bengals before the bye week, so avoiding another conference loss is of great importance.
If the Bills are to pull out the victory today, they’ll do so with some injuries to key performers in the secondary. Starting cornerback E.J. Gaines is out with a hamstring injury, and starting free safety Jordan Poyer has not practiced all week, though his status for the game is officially questionable.
Your first half thread is here, ladies and gentlemen. Go Bills!
