Buffalo Bills give game ball to Logan Thomas following emotional win

The tight end played only five days after losing his prematurely-born daughter.

The Buffalo Bills gave a well-deserved game ball to tight end Logan Thomas following their 34-14 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Thomas, who caught one pass for seven yards, played only five days after his daughter Brooklynn passed away due to complications as a result of premature birth. (She was due to be born in April.)

I wouldn’t have blamed Thomas for taking the week off following such an ordeal, but he only missed one day of practice before returning to the team. On that note, it’s fitting that he broke down the huddle with a call of “family”, because this team seems to be becoming one.

Thomas, the former quarterback at Virginia Tech and with the Arizona Cardinals, has four catches this season. He caught his first touchdown pass during last week’s 30-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he seems to be developing well in his position change.

In an exceptionally hard time for him and his family, it was a touching moment to see the team rally around him after a big win at home.
