After ten long days dwelling on the Buffalo Bills’ awful 34-21 loss to the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football last week, the Bills are back in action. This week, the NFC South-leading New Orleans Saints come to New Era Field looking to become the first opponent to leave Orchard Park with a victory in the 2017 season.
For the Bills, it will be the first time that Kelvin Benjamin wears the red, white, and blue after the team acquired him in a trade with the Carolina Panthers on Halloween. The Bills’ defense will look to rebound from its worst effort in head coach Sean McDermott’s rookie season, but they’ll face a tough opponent in a balanced and talented New Orleans offense. Future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees has multiple receiving weapons, and the two-headed monster of Mark Ingram and rookie sensation Alvin Kamara has added another dimension to the offense. The Saints’ resurgent defense has also played a tremendous part in the team’s early season success, and New Orleans enters the game on a six-game winning streak.
Here’s hoping that both the Bills and Saints leave the field at 4:15 with identical 6-3 records. Thanks for spending the first half watching with and talking to your fellow Bills fans!
