Buffalo Bills tumble lower in Week 11 NFL Power Rankings

You can’t say you didn’t see this coming

NFL: Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Chargers Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

After a third straight blowout loss, the Buffalo Bills have fallen off a cliff in the national media’s power rankings heading into Week 12. A few weeks ago many had the Bills in the top 10 teams in the league, now pretty much every ranking has the Bills in bottom 10 teams in the NFL.

Even ESPN, who consistently kept the Bills hovering around 15-17 while Buffalo was succeeding dropped the Bills down to 24. They categorized the team as a “train wreck”, which can’t really be disputed logically.

Yahoo! was the kindest to the Bills in terms of ranking, but harshest in what they wrote. They are the only site to keep the Bills out of the 20’s. Yahoo dropped the Bills just one place from 16 to 17, which seems generous. However, here’s what they said about the team:

“The Nathan Peterman move backfired in every way, and Tyrod Taylor's stellar play in mop-up duty was even more embarrassing in Los Angeles. The Bills literally threw away their best shot at the playoffs in 18 seasons.”

Sports Illustrated’s MMQB poll dropped the Bills from 17th to 23rd this week in their poll. The Bills highest vote was for 19 and four voters put the Bills low at 27th.
