If you’re like most fans, games tend to be more exciting when there’s a personal stake in the outcome. For Buffalo Bills fans, tonight’s Monday Night Football match-up is nearly must-see TV. The Houston Texans head to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens with major Buffalo Bills related implications at stake.
The Bills pulled off the upset over the Kansas City Chiefs, bringing them to 6-5 on the season. With 10 of 16 AFC teams having reasonable playoff aspirations, a little breathing room for the Bills wouldn’t hurt. To reach the postseason for the first time this millenium in a couple years, the Bills will need to pull out a few more wins while hoping another team doesn’t have a major run in them to close the year.
Regarding tonight’s teams, the 5-5 Ravens would end up tied with the Bills in overall record with a win, but would pull ahead in a tiebreaker due to a better conference record. The Houston Texans sit at 4-6 on the year with less-than-stellar division and conference records. Even with a win, the Texans would be a full game behind the Bills.
A Baltimore loss would leave the Bills a game ahead of both teams and in prime position to stay in wild card position. Come hang with fellow Rumblers and discuss the action right here!
