On Halloween, minutes before the trade deadline, the Buffalo Bills pulled off a blockbuster trade. In an exchange with the Carolina Panthers, the Bills received former first-round wide receiver, Kelvin Benjamin while giving up their third-round pick and a seventh-round pick they received from the Los Angeles Chargers from the Cardale Jones trade. The Bills are still set up for the long term as they have a stockpile of picks early in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Interestingly, the pick acquired for Jones was conditional which means Jones and the Chargers must have already met the condition for the Bills to even have the pick to trade. It was probably tied to his appearance on the roster at the beginning of the season but we still don’t know the exact details.

If it wasn't clear before, it should be clear now that the front office is completely sold on ending the drought this year. The Benjamin trade was a big move that can help the offense immensely, including opening things up for Zay Jones and Jordan Matthews.
