Buffalo Bills injuries: Andre Holmes out, Williams and Gaines questionable

Will Kyle Williams play Sunday? A groin injury puts him in jeopardy.

The Buffalo Bills have announced their injury designations ahead of Sunday’s match against the New England Patriots, and wide receiver Andre Holmes will be sidelined. Speaking with the media on Friday morning, Sean McDermott gave a quick update on his team’s injury status ahead of the release of the official Friday afternoon report. Holmes, who has been battling a neck injury, leads the team in touchdown receptions this year with three. He has 13 receptions for 120 yards on the season.

Cornerback E.J. Gaines (knee), defensive tackle Kyle Williams (groin), offensive guard John Miller (ankle), and tight end Nick O’Leary (back) are all listed as questionable. Williams did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, so his availability on Friday may decide his fate in a crucial game against the Patriots. If anyone will be asked to gut it out and play, though, it would be Williams, the heart and soul of Buffalo’s defense.

Gaines and O’Leary didn’t practice on Wednesday, but were upgraded to limited participants on Thursday.
