The Buffalo Bills are in desperate need of a win this week, as any other result against the Miami Dolphins will result in their 2017 season coming to an end. The Dolphins are already eliminated, but they’d like nothing more than to ruin Buffalo’s potential playoff bid to cap off 2017. Although he was injured in practice, wide receiver Deonte Thompson is active this week, which is great news for the Bills. Running back Marcus Murphy, activated this week off the practice squad, will also suit up for the Bills. Buffalo will play without the following players this week:
CB Shareece Wright
The dime corner/occasional starter/sometimes healthy scratch is out with a concussion he suffered last week against the New England Patriots. With E.J. Gaines returning to the lineup, little changes for Buffalo, except that the secondary improves due to number 28’s presence.
CB Breon Borders
The rookie came to Buffalo on December 16, and he’s been inactive in every game since.
WR Malachi Dupree
With Deonte Thompson set to go, the Bills will roll with Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones, Brandon Tate, and Thompson as their only wide receivers. Which means that...
WR Brandon Reilly
...is inactive today once again, as well.
TE Logan Thomas
Buffalo will go with the superior blocker, Khari Lee, rather than the superior athlete in Thomas as the third tight end.
T Conor McDermott
Nothing to see here. With Dion Dawkins missing practice on Friday, there was a momentary panic, but his absence was not injury related. McDermott is once again a healthy scratch.
G John Miller
Also par for the course, as Miller has not been active since Buffalo’s victory over the Atlanta Falcons on October 1.

So much for Trae Elston being used on special teams today...
Go Bills!
