NFL power rankings: Buffalo Bills near bottom as offseason starts

No love.

The Super Bowl is over and the offseason is officially upon us which means NFL Draft talk and over-analysis. Luckily, our first look ahead at the 2017 season comes from around the NFL-based internet as we get a way-too-early look at 2017 power rankings.

At NFL.com, Eliot Harrison ranks the Bills 25th after hiring Sean McDermott. Harrison calls the defensive core “questionable” and poses legitimate questions about the group led by a 34-year-old interior lineman and three more leaders set to hit free agency.

Buffalo comes in 26th at Yahoo! thanks to a very nebulous quarterback situation. “ It’s hard to rank this team higher with the possibility that Cardale Jones or some TBD veteran is their starting quarterback in seven months.”

Also at 26 at ESPN, Buffalo's strong defensive coaching staff coupled with young guns Reggie Ragland returning and Shaq Lawson entering his second season give room for hope. The offensive uncertainty is still dragging Buffalo down.
