The Ringer’s Danny Kelly pegs Kenny Britt to the Buffalo Bills

He believes Britt would be an ideal addition in Buffalo

The Ringer’s head NFL writer, Danny Kelly, has picked Kenny Britt as the ideal free agent for the Buffalo Bills.

In his piece, Kelly notes that “Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin, Justin Hunter, and Brandon Tate are all free agents.” Percy Harvin, Greg Salas, and Dezmin Lewis are also free agents. That leaves the Bills with just four wide receivers on the roster — Sammy Watkins, Marcus Easley, Walter Powell, and Kolby Listenbee. Even if you include Charles Clay and Nick O’Leary in the pass catchers group, it is clear the Bills need more firepower for the passing offense.

Britt could give the Bills the firepower they desperately need. Kelly mentions that Britt “managed to look like a true No. 1 in the Rams’ awful passing attack led by Case Keenum and Jared Goff in 2016, hauling in 68 passes for 1,002 yards and five touchdowns.” Those numbers would’ve made him the No. 1 receiver in all categories on the Bills last year. Buffalo threw 62 times less than the Rams, but that does not change the fact that Britt would be a huge addition. This would fill the big target the Bills have been searching for for years. Whether they have the money to sign Britt is dependent on other moves, but he is projected to make less than Robert Woods by Spotrac.

Kenny Britt is a productive, big, twenty-eight-year-old wide receiver and would definitely be a welcome addition to the Bills offense. Whether they have the money and persuasiveness to sign him will be seen in the coming days as NFL free agency gets underway.
