With a lot of holes on their roster, a less-than-full complement of picks in the 2017 NFL Draft, and deep classes and several positions of need, the Buffalo Bills would be wise to trade down in the first round from their number 10 overall selection. That appears to be just what they are looking to do.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said today on Twitter that the Bills were a team looking to trade down. Head coach Sean McDermott also told the Bills’ official website the same thing today.
“It’s been ongoing,” said McDermott. “It’s exciting. Everything you read about, the fans see that’s what’s going on right now. We’ve had a lot of conversations. We are in a good spot, a healthy spot. We’re not too high and we’re not too low, so we like where we are. There are a lot of people trying to get into where we are, so we feel like we’re in a good spot right now.”
The Bills will be on the clock around 9:30 tonight. That’s when we will find out if another team makes an offer valuable enough for the Bills brass to pull the trigger.
