The 6’1” 228 Vallejo has missed time to injuries in each of the past two seasons, but accumulated 35 tackles for loss during the four years that he was a starter. Vallejo had a very similar Combine to Buffalo’s fifth round pick Matt Milano, running a 4.67 in the forty yard dash, vertical jumping 33.5 inches, and broad jumping 121 inches. He also had a 7.08 three cone drill at his pro day.
He and Milano give the Bills two options at weakside / nickel linebacker where previously the Bills had no perfect fits. That said, he won’t be expected to start for at least a year, given his draft status and the presence of veterans like Ramon Humber and Preston Brown on the roster.
What do you think of the pick, Bills fans?
Do you approve of the Buffalo Bills selection of Tanner Vallejo, LB, Boise State in the sixth round of the NFL Draft?
