The Buffalo Bills announced Thursday that 2017 second-round pick Zay Jones signed his rookie contract.
First-round pick Tre’Davious White also signed his entry-level deal Thursday.
The news of Jones’ signing comes on the same day news surfaced that he suffered a knee sprain in practice and would be “week-to-week.”
Despite the injury occurring before he officially put pen to paper on his Bills contract, there was never a doubt Jones would be signed.
While the details of Jones contract haven’t been disclosed, we can use last year to gauge what the figures will be.
Chris Jones, who was the No. 37 overall pick in 2016, inked a four-year, $6.23 million deal with $2.7M signing bonus a year ago. Jones contract will be in that range but slightly higher to adjust for salary-cap inflation.
