LeSean McCoy campaigning for Buffalo Bills general manager candidate Brett Veach

We know who one Bills player would want as the team’s next GM.

Buffalo Bills feature back LeSean McCoy took to social media Wednesday to announce who he’d want as the team’s general manager:

At first, it’s not crazy to interpret McCoy’s tweet as a celebration that Buffalo had already hired — or planned to hire — Veach as its GM, and the Bills’ number one running back was in the know.

Wait, why would McCoy be celebrating and why is he on #TeamVeach anyway?

Turns out, Veach was in Philadelphia with Shady from 2009 to 2013. He worked as an assistant to Andy Reid. When Reid was hired by the Chiefs in 2013, he brought Veach with him.

We’ll see if anything comes of McCoy’s one-tweet social media campaign, but Veach has been rumored to be a candidate for the Bills GM job, as he also has ties to Buffalo’s head coach Sean McDermott. The two were together with the Eagles from 2004 to 2010.
