For the better part of the last week, the Buffalo Bills have been involved in “Maclin Watch,” wondering whether eight-year veteran Jeremy Maclin will take his talents to the Baltimore Ravens or shuffle off to Buffalo for the 2017 NFL season.
Maclin’s delayed decision making has been influenced in part by circumstance. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Maclin is expected to make a decision today. Maclin had a wedding to attend this weekend, which prevented him from focusing on business matters.
Maclin visited the Bills last Tuesday, dining with team officials and staying overnight before heading to Baltimore. Prior to leaving, he appeared in a series of Instagram videos posted by running back LeSean McCoy which appeared to suggest that he was on the verge of signing with the Bills. That obviously did not come to fruition last week. He then left Baltimore without a contract on Thursday.
Our Editor-in-Chief, Chris Trapasso, examined the reasons why Maclin would be best served coming to Buffalo. Hopefully, when and if the decision is announced later today, Maclin takes Chris’s advice and signs on with the red, white, and blue.
We’ll be watching along with you for an announcement.
