Sean McDermott, Andy Reid spoke about Jeremy Maclin

The Bills “are not out of the running,” according to Mike Garafolo.

In the latest installment of “Will He or Won’t He: Maclin Edition,” it seems that the Buffalo Bills and free agent wide receiver Jeremy Maclin still have a chance of coming together.

The former Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs standout visited with the Bills for the better part of Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving without a contract yesterday afternoon. According to multiple reports, Maclin left Buffalo to visit the Baltimore Ravens.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, there is definitely some mutual interest between Maclin and the Bills.

The Bills’ own twitter account also tweeted about the Maclin saga, quoting head coach Sean McDermott as saying that Maclin is “a very good person and football player.” He characterized the visit as “nice.”

Sal Capaccio examined the situation further, noting that McDermott spoke with Maclin’s former head coach (and McDermott’s coaching mentor) Andy Reid about the wide receiver.

Clearly, the Bills are interested and doing their due diligence. Hopefully, Maclin’s visit to Baltimore is due diligence on his part before coming back and fulfilling the prophesy foreshadowed by LeSean MCCoy’s Snapchat story.
