Zay Jones shines, Dion Dawkins struggles Saturday at Buffalo Bills training camp

The two rookies are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Buffalo Bills have finished up their third practice of training camp. Roster battles, injuries, and the rookies continue to dominate today’s headlines. You can find more below.

Injury bug bites

Defensive tackle Marcell Dareus was the first injury reported. He tweaked his hamstring on Friday and only participated in the walk-through portion of practice on Saturday. Cornerback Ronald Darby was hurt early in practice and limped off the field but didn’t head to the training room. He is day to day with a left ankle injury. Also hurt today were wide receiver Brandon Tate (calf) and defensive lineman Ian Seau (foot). Shaq Lawson was slow to get up on a play, headed to the sideline, but went back in a few plays after his toe was stepped on. Adolphus Washington and Kevon Seymour stepped in for Dareus and Darby, respectively.

Zay Jones impressive

The rookie receiver is making waves in his first training camp. He roasted Leonard Johnson during the team portion of training camp. Here are some videos of him.

Dion Dawkins struggles

While his fellow rookie was excelling, Dion Dawkins has been struggling mightily during practices. He allowed a Shaq Lawson sack yesterday and today he was calling for a false start and allowed a sack on consecutive plays. Jordan Mills is also struggling.
