Buffalo Bills should be interested in free agent receiver Dorial Green-Beckham

The receiver cleared waivers.

Every team in the National Football League had a chance to add former Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans receiver Dorial Green-Beckham to their roster via the waiver wire and every team declined. Now that he has cleared waivers, he is a free agent. The Buffalo Bills and their paper-thin receiving corps should take a look.

Green-Beckham appeared on the NFL’s waiver wire on Wednesday July 5th, despite the announcement coming from the Eagles late last week. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the troubled but talented receiver has already passed through waivers.

A former second round pick by the Titans, Green-Beckham will be on his third team in three NFL seasons following last offseason’s trade to Philly. He has 68 catches for 941 yards and six touchdowns in his career and could bolster the depth at one of Buffalo’s thinnest positions, even if he can’t be counted on for a great effort 100% of the time.

By not claiming him on waivers, Buffalo was able to avoid a $944,418 cap hit in 2017 and $1.2 million owed in 2018. Now, it’s possible they can sign him to a one-year minimum deal of $615,000 for the 2017 season.
