The Buffalo Bills have announced that four players will miss tonight’s preseason tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles: offensive tackle Cordy Glenn, wide receivers Jordan Matthews and Jeremy Butler, and safety Bacarri Rambo.
Glenn isn’t expected to be ready until the regular season due to a foot injury that’s kept him sidelined for most of training camp. Seantrel Henderson started at left tackle against the Minnesota Vikings in his place, but struggled against the starters. Dion Dawkins may see some first-team work on the left side tonight.
Matthews suffered a chipped sternum on his first day with the Bills, because Buffalo. Butler is still dealing with a concussion that’s kept him on the sidelines for over a week now. Free agent pickup Anquan Boldin will see his first action of the preseason tonight, while Zay Jones should find himself a little more involved with the offense after the loss of Sammy Watkins.
Rambo suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the week. He saw plenty of second half action against the Vikings and also played 12 special teams snaps. Look for Joe Powell to see more time at safety, while any number of players could pick up the special teams slack.
