Bills
Starters
Coach McDermott said on Thursday that he will play his starters into the third quarter. That’s the customary practice for the third preseason game.
Injuries
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the Bills will be without multiple players in their next game. The major missing pieces are Cordy Glenn and Jordan Matthews, who will travel with the team, but not play, because #process. Others already ruled out are Colt Anderson, Jeremy Butler, Rod Streater, and Tanner Vallejo. Marcell Dareus and Kevon Seymour are also day-to-day.
Offensive Line
One of the worst position groups in the Bills last outing was their offensive line. The immediate future does not look to hold any improvements. With Glenn out, Dion Dawkins will start at left tackle. On the right side, Vlad Ducasse will start at guard instead of John Miller.
Ravens
Defense
Yes, it is only preseason so take this with a grain of salt, but the Baltimore Ravens defense has been on fire in their first two games. They are first in the league in total defense and have allowed just 129.0 yards per game—over 100 yards better than second place.
Injuries
While their D has been great, the offense has not, and they’ll be missing several players expected to start their first game. Joe Flacco has not practiced since injuring his back shortly before training camp begins. New addition Danny Woodhead may also miss Saturday’s game due to a hamstring tweak.
