After news broke that Marcell Dareus was sent home for a violation of team rules, one Buffalo Bills inactive could be deduced for tonight’s preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. The rest of the list was released around 5:30, and it includes a few players who should be important parts of the 2017 regular season.
Wide receivers Jordan Matthews, Rod Streater, and Jeremy Butler will miss the game. Matthews suffered a chip fracture in his sternum during his first practice with the Bills. Streater injured his toe against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, and Butler has been dealing with a concussion suffered during the team’s night practice on August 5.
Defensive backs Kevon Seymour, Colt Anderson, and Trae Elston all will not dress, meaning the team will be even thinner in an already threadbare positional grouping. Seymour was pushing for a starting role but that seems to have slipped away as Shareece Wright has been healthy and will get the lion’s share of a rotation tonight with Seymour out.
Cordy Glenn is still nursing foot soreness, and he will also miss the contest tonight. Tanner Vallejo (knee) and Dareus round out the group of inactives.
