When the Buffalo Bills take to the practice field at New Era Field Friday night, the team will be without the services of several players who are currently nursing injuries. Wide receiver Corey Brown (illness), left tackle Cordy Glenn (foot), safety Micah Hyde (hip), and defensive end Ian Seau (foot) will all miss tonight’s night practice, the team announced Friday afternoon.
Glenn, who was seen stretching on the field tonight prior to practice, received a second opinion on his injured ankle today. He has missed two practices after practicing fully during the first week of camp, but the injury does not require a boot. Rookie Dion Dawkins has seen time at both left tackle and right tackle and could be the team’s opening day started on Tyrod Taylor’s blind side with Seantrel Henderson suspended.
Hyde is also sitting out for the second consecutive practice after he was injured following an interception during Wednesday’s afternoon session at St. John Fisher College. Shamiel Gary filled in for Hyde the previous two practices.
Brown, who missed Thursday’s practice with an illness, according to Vic Carucci, is listed on the injury report for the first time. Seau, the nephew of Hall of Fame linebacker Junior Seau, has missed several practices with his foot injury.
Additionally, longtime defensive end Kyle Williams will not practice with the team as he is receiving a veteran’s day off.
