Bills practice recap, 8/7: Tyrod's good day, end of game situations

The Bills practiced the hook and ladder today.

The Buffalo Bills wrapped up another practice this morning at St. John Fisher and there was a lot to like. Here is your practice recap.

Tyrod tells us what to do

Starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor had himself a good day, capped by a 6-for-7 two-minute drill with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Charles Clay. He added an exclamation point by yelling to reporters. "Write about that," the usually mild-mannered Taylor proclaimed to the assembled media. He also found Clay up the seam, and showed command all day.

End of game situations today

Head coach Sean McDermott had the team pulling out all the tricks today. Hail Mary bombs, hook and ladder plays, and the two-minute drill were the focus on offense while the defense sat back in the prevent and practiced their two-minute skills, as well.

Sammy Watkins was a full-go as was Cordy Glenn. Very good news. Kevon Seymour was a new non-participant today with a foot injury while Tanner Vallejo left practice and returned with his hand wrapped heavily.

Odds and ends

T.J. Yates had a bad day and didn't tell reporters to write about him. He and Nathaniel Peterman both threw interceptions in team work today... Reggie Ragland received his first first-team reps of camp today... Eddie Yarbough had another sack today and seems to be solidifying a roster spot as a depth defensive end... Rod Streater was sprinkled in on first team today after Andre Holmes ran a long route...
