Andy Dalton to the Bills

Alright, let me start off by saying that I hope the Bills draft a QB next spring. The position is way too important to ignore, and the Bills have done that for a really long time.

With that said, what if the draft doesn't work out? Say Darnold goes back to USC for another year, Rosen gets picked first overall, and Allen gets picked right after him. What do the Bills do?

Andy Dalton is very close to wearing out his welcome in Cincinnati, and his contract allows the Bengals to release him with just a $2.3 million cap hit in 2018. If Marvin Lewis is gone (and if the Bengals keep playing like they are, he will be) the Bengals could decide to move on from Dalton too, especially if they have a top pick and a chance to draft a new QB for their new regime.

Andy Dalton is about as good a quarterback you will see hit the open market. Even guys like Matt Stafford and Derek Carr get paid before they become free agents, so the likelihood of the Bills finding a better one are slim to none.

I really hope the Bills end up with one of the top quarterbacks in the draft next year, but they may be just good enough to miss out on taking one. Is Andy Dalton the answer?

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
