The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers squared off in a Thursday Night Football game of little importance to most Buffalo Bills fans. But in primetime, three former Bills receivers shined, putting the current regime under the spotlight.
For the Rams, Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods each topped 100 yards with six catches on seven targets. Watkins added two touchdowns, to boot. The last time the Bills had two 100-yard receivers in the same game was 2010 when Stevie Johnson and Lee Evans attained the feat.
On the other side of the field, Marquise Goodwin had two catches for 62 yards to add insult to injury.
All three receivers left Buffalo this offseason. Watkins was the biggest name and was traded to the Rams in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and starting cornerback E.J. Gaines. Woods signed a huge free agent deal while Goodwin was also paid well considering the time he’s spent sidelined due to injury.
After the game, NFL Network pointed out the former Bills’ exploits.

Rich Eisen: Gotta make folks of WNY sick seeing Watkins/Woods do their thing.
Marshall Faulk: Guys leave there & do well.
At least they didn’t mention Chris Hogan, Mike Gillislee, or the New England Patriots.
