The Buffalo Bills have made the playoffs for the first time since 1999, and while fans of the team are probably still celebrating, it’s worth looking ahead to Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Several negative-leaning folks have asked me this, so I’ll make it simple: The Bills are not just here to break the drought, they are here to win.
Yeah, Buffalo needed help in the final AFC game of the day to get into the postseason, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t earn it. Buffalo beat Baltimore on the strength of victory tiebreaker because they’ve beaten good teams. They can do it again in the playoffs.
Buffalo went into Arrowhead Stadium and beat the playoff-bound Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo went into the Nest and beat the playoff-bound Atlanta Falcons. Buffalo was a blown call from leading the New England Patriots in Foxborough at the half.
Did we mention the Jaguars have lost two straight games?
Make no mistake, Bills fans and anyone else wanting to say this team in one-and-done, this team has a real chance to go into Jacksonville and take down the Jaguars. If that happens, another trip to Foxborough would be in the works.
