Hailing from Western New York, it’s pretty clear which NFL team CBS Evening News anchor Jeff Glor is rooting for in the upcoming playoffs.
Glor, who is known for being a passionate Buffalo Bills fan, is a native of Tonawanda. He, like the rest of #BillsMafia, found himself rooting hard for Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals to take down the Baltimore Ravens on New Year’s Eve following Buffalo’s 22-16 win over the Miami Dolphins that kept alive hope of the Bills making the playoffs for the first time since the 1999 season.
When Dalton connected with Tyler Boyd for a 49-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-12, all of Western New York celebrated as the Bengals’ win pushed the Bills into the playoffs, snapping a 17-year playoff drought.
Bills fans also opened up their wallets and made donations to the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation to show their support for their new favorite (non-Buffalo) quarterback, who helped lift their team into the playoffs. As of Tuesday night, donations to the foundation, which provides support, resources, opportunities & life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families, surpassed $170,000.
Overwhelmed by the support and generosity of Bills fans, the Daltons went on CBS News, anchored by Glor, to talk about the kindness of Buffalo Bills fans, as more than 7,000 fans donated $17 apiece in honor of Buffalo snapping its 17-year playoff drought.
Glor interviewed the Daltons on Tuesday night's broadcast, and afterwards he concluded the show with "Let's go, Buffalo."
"To have support from a completely different city and a fan base that's not even associated with us, and also a team that we did beat this year, too," Dalton said. "I think it's pretty crazy the support we've gotten from it."

Glor isn’t the first national anchor to profess his passion for the Bills on the airwaves. Buffalo native Tim Russert would conclude his "Meet the Press" Sunday shows on NBC with, "Go Bills." CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer is also a Buffalo native.
