After being carted off the field against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and not practicing on Wednesday, LeSean McCoy’s chances of playing in the Buffalo Bills’ Wild Card game against the Jacksonville Jaguars did not look great. However, on Thursday, his situation started to look a bit brighter.
McCoy dressed and stretched during practice, but did not participate other than that. The actual good news came when Shady spoke with the media.
You can view video of his full interview below, thanks to Joe Buscaglia. The two most important quotes he had were on both the positive and negative side of the coin.
On the positive side, McCoy said, “The type of game like this, man, you’ve got to lay it all on the line.”
Conversely, he also added, “I’ve been in situations like this before here and I played on a bad ankle, bad foot, actually a bad hamstring and I didn’t do well at all and I kind of hurt us. I don’t want to be in that same situation.”
It sounds as if McCoy is going to do everything in his power to be as healthy as he possibly can for Sunday, and if that adds up to him being anywhere near his normal self, he will be playing. As a Bills fan, that only adds to my excitement for Sunday.
