Buffalo Bills-Jacksonville Jaguars first half open thread

It’s a Buffalo playoff game, friends. Who’s excited?!

The Buffalo Bills will play an actual, real-life NFL playoff game today against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Playoff football hasn’t mattered to Bills’ fans since Bill Clinton was President, so please excuse us for being excited.

LeSean McCoy, listed as questionable, is going to try to play today, but who knows how effective he’ll be after suffering a sprained ankle last week against the Miami Dolphins. The injury was bad enough that McCoy had to be carted off the field, but it apparently won’t be enough to keep the veteran running back off the field in a playoff game.

This game settles the rest of the AFC Playoff bracket. A Buffalo victory sets us a third showdown between the Bills and their bitter rival, the AFC East Division-winning New England Patriots, and leaving the Tennessee Titans to travel north to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Jacksonville wins, then the Titans roll into Foxborough and the Jaguars fly to the Steel City.

Join us in discussing the Bills’ first playoff game in a generation, friends. Go Bills!
