The Buffalo Bills (2-5) welcome the New England Patriots (5-2) to New Era Field for a showdown on Monday Night Football, the first time the Bills have hosted a Monday night game in nearly a decade.

Buffalo Rumblings reporter and podcast host John Boccacino is joined by Alec Shane from Pats Pulpit to preview the Bills Week 8 clash vs. the Patriots.

These two teams are heading in opposite directions, with the Bills struggling to score points (ranked last in the league in scoring offense, 11.6 points per game), while the Patriots have won four straight and find themselves in a familiar place: alone in first place in the AFC East.

On the latest edition of the new and improved Billieve: a Buffalo Bills Fans Podcast, we have everything you need to know to get ready for the game, Buffalo’s first of six against an AFC East opponent.

Boccacino and Shane also give their keys to the game, which had Buffalo opening up as a 13-point home underdog vs. the Patriots.

Hear what our podcast duo had to say about the game.

Tom Brady brings a 28-3 record against the Bills into the MNF game, and he is once again playing at an MVP level for the Patriots. The key to a Bills upset is to get pressure on Brady, and for Bills fans, hopefully the defense will return to its Week 6 form (sacking Deshaun Watson seven times) compared to Week 7, when it recorded zero sacks and allowed Andrew Luck to toss four touchdown passes.

Among the topics covered on the podcast: the health status of TE Rob Gronkowski and RB Sony Michel, what Buffalo can do to slow down RB James White and WR Josh Gordon, why the Patriots struggle with their pass rush, the important role that LBs Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds must play, and what the Bills need to do to get back in the win column and pull off the monumental upset.

Our experts offered up their score predictions for the game, Buffalo’s first home appearance on Monday Night Football since a 29-27 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 17, 2008. While both Boccacino and Shane predict the Patriots to pick up their fifth straight win, they also expect the Bills to hang around and make this a game into the second half, fueled by a raucous New Era Field crowd.
