The Tennessee Titans travel to Orchard Park this week to take on a Buffalo Bills team coming off a bad loss last Sunday. The Titans are coming off a big overtime win, and at 3-1 overall, they are one of the surprisingly strong teams of the early season.
With a lopsided matchup on paper, the Titans will definitely be popular plays this week in fantasy football. Buffalo is a tough home draw, but there are certainly players from the Titans’ roster worth starting this week.
Titans D/ST
One week after the Green Bay Packers defense scored the most points of any D/ST in fantasy football, the Titans’ stop unit will definitely be a popular pickup on most fantasy football waiver wires. Green Bay gave teams a solid blueprint to disrupting Josh Allen—bring lots of pressure—and the Bills abandoned the run far too early. If the Titans can pressure Allen and score some points early, then Sunday might yield a similar result.
WR Taywan Taylor
After the release of veteran Rishard Matthews, Taylor was bound to see an uptick in targets. He had 10 targets combined in the first three games of the season, but in the fourth week, he saw 9 targets. He caught 7 passes for 77 yards in the victory. Buffalo has allowed a lot of points to the receiver that Tre’Davious White isn’t covering, and that trend should continue this week.
QB Marcus Mariota
Tennessee’s signal caller had a resurgent game last week, throwing for 330 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Titans’ overtime victory. He scored 31.4 fantasy points on the week. While he might not see the same level of success this week against Buffalo, a more level day of around 20 points is not out of the question for Mariota.
