After their disappointing loss to the Green Bay Packers, the Buffalo Bills look to right the ship at home against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans, under new head coach Mike Vrabel, are off to a great start in 2018. They are 3-1 with big division wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans. Here are three crucial items to watch for as the Bills look to defend their dirt.
Will the Bills be able to score?
After the shutout in Green Bay, the Bills now rank 31st in the NFL in scoring. On the other sideline, the Titans have allowed the 7th fewest points in the league. It appears that former New England Patriots player and coach, and rookie Titans head coach, Mike Vrabel has his defense humming.
Can the offensive line get it together?
The Bills’ offensive line is ranked 32nd in the league after their week four debacle. The coaches have only made one change to the line this season. They replaced Ryan Groy with Russell Bodine as the starting center in the lead up to the game against the Minnesota Vikings. Will they make any more changes after a brutal game in Green Bay?
Injuries in the secondary
The Bills’ best defensive player, Micah Hyde, left the Packers game in the first quarter and did not return. Hyde and his backup, Rafael Bush, did not participate in practice on Wednesday. Buffalo brought in free agent CB Dontae Johnson to fill the void that may be left by one or both safeties.
