The Buffalo Bills are hoping to exit with a win as they host the Tennessee Titans today in Orchard Park, but a few key injuries could make the task a challenge. Pro Bowl safety Micah Hyde is inactive, as is his backup. Charles Clay, listed as questionable, will be active today. Here’s the full list of players.
S Micah Hyde
S Rafael Bush
Both of these safeties were unable to practice this week, between Hyde’s groin injury and Bush’s shoulder injury. Dean Marlowe was elevated to the active roster in response, so expect him and rookie Siran Neal to rotate next to Jordan Poyer.
RB Marcus Murphy
Murphy was limited in practice but didn’t receive an injury designation this week, so this decision speaks more to the struggles Murphy’s had in pass protection and the effective running from Chris Ivory in recent weeks.
OG Wyatt Teller
OG Ike Boettger
Although Sean McDermott seemed willing to consider lineup changes at a press conference this week, these rookies remain inactive, meaning John Miller’s job is still safe.
OT Conor McDermott
McDermott was active last week after Marshall Newhouse was traded to the Panthers, but a penalty and a sack in his few moments of activity didn’t endear him to the coaching staff. Instead, recent signing Jeremiah Sirles will be the active swing tackle.
CB Dontae Johnson
Phillip Gaines, now healthy, is active, but Buffalo’s newest cornerback will be inactive in his first week with the team. It remains to be seen if Gaines will return to the starting lineup or if Ryan Lewis will hold onto the job.
